Poughkeepsie Shuttle

Vassar offers a free shuttle bus service into Poughkeepsie, operated by the Leprechaun Lines company. The shuttle runs Monday–Friday from 2:00–6:00pm, Saturday from 3:00–7:00pm, and Sunday from 1:00–5:00pm. Look for Leprechaun’s white 10-seat van Monday–Friday, and their white 29-seat minibus on Saturday–Sunday, and please show your Vassar ID to the driver.

Metro-North
Metro-North station runs commuter trains on the Hudson Line to New York City, as well as Amtrak trains, located at 41 Main St. in downtown Poughkeepsie.
Greyhound Bus Line
A Greyhound ticket office is located at 270 Main Street at Thrifty Check Cashing, and serves connections across the country. This location also sells tickets for regional bus companies. The corner of Main and Market in downtown Poughkeepsie is the hub for most bus departures and arrivals.
Amtrak
The Poughkeepsie train station is a stop on Amtrak's national service. New York City (to the south) and Albany, NY (to the north) are other major nearby destinations.
