Third annual International Dance Festival, April 28, 2017

A dance showcase featuring dance and music styles from around the world will take place at Vassar College on Friday, April 28, 7:00pm. The third annual International Dance festival will be held in the Villard Room of Main Building and is free and open to the public.

Sponsored by the Office of International Services, the event will include performances by Hawaii Hula, the Mid-Hudson Chinese Community Association Dance Team, When Geisha Meets Pina, Tinikling (bamboo dance of the Philippines), The Bolloywood Brewers, Mid- Hudson Chinese Language Center, Korean Dance Crew, and Sori Drumming Group. There will also be interactive dance pieces inviting audience participation.

“We are excited to be inviting the public to join our students in both producing and attending this new tradition,” says Andrew Meade, Director of the Office of International Services. “Dance is a truly multidimensional expression of culture, and we hope people have a lot of fun and get something out of it, too.”
